The Great Flood of 2010

April 9, 2010

We had to see it with our own eyes to truly believe it. We heard about it on the nightly news, people were calling to see if we were ok and it was happening “in our own backyard”, yet our basement was dry and our streets were passable…so we packed up the kids and took a trip to the Warwick Mall. Here’s what we found.

The boys couldn’t believe their eyes!

The JCPenney side.

I can only imagine what these two are talking about. They are such good buddies.

Helicopters were constantly circling overhead and the alarms from the local businesses we going off giving a very eery atmosphere to the area.

The kids didn’t seem to care about the dangerous circumstances that brought us to the mall that day. They just thought it was cool to be playing in the middle of the street. Here you see Andy taking pictures with his Nintendo DSi.

The middle boy in the middle of the road.
